Ok it's not quite that dramatic, but it's the same principle.

What'sup yall? It's been a while since we last spake, over a month I do believe! Forsooth! Basically I'm just writing to explain my lessening activity which you may or may not care about. When I was first on dA I always swore that I would never be one of those people who started getting better and dropped off the face of the internet, I wanted to be sure that whenever I got awesome I would still be an active part of the community. Well I'm still a long, long ways from awesome, but I've come to realize that staying active is a little tougher than it seemed, I just now decided to break my policy of replying to every comment I get. I still read all of them and I really appreciate everyone taking the time to leave comments, I just don't personally have enough time any more to write out a whole slew of "Thanks! " replies. I realized this when I scrolled through my comments just now and found unanswered comments from September.

I still want to make it a point to be helpful wherever I can though, cause there aren't many other hubs for beginning and intermediate artists out there, so if you have a question or need help or post an especially specific comment I'll save it in there and get back to you as soon as I can. And if you just feel like saying my stuff's cool, here's a thanks-in-advance and know that I read it and love you as a person and think you're just the greatest!

In other vaguely related news, the reason as to why I'm so cramped for time! The usual school, but also... work! Hooray! After a year of foundations and half a year of entertainment design, TAD started giving out contract work to some of the students with Massive Black Shanghai (now Brilliant Colors), which is a pretty major production house in the entertainment industry (mostly 3D, but it's branching out in to more 2D it looks like). So for the past month and a half in addition to school I've been doing legit entertainment work which has been freaking awesome; the industry is every bit as crazy and retarded and awesome as everyone said it was bahaha. But yeah, it's been really exciting and i've got a lot of awesome stuff to post as soon as all the shrouds of NDAs lift! Until then I'll continue posting regular finished work here from school, and I'll maybe see about posting up sketches more often, and maaaybe squeeze in a new tutorial over break. We'll see. As soon as something's awesome and/or finished, it'll find its way to dA, but until then it's trapped in New Blogland.

So yeah, that's pretty much been the last month since poking my head on the radar, staying ass-crack busy and loving it. Continuing the never-ending quest for excellence and time efficiency, it's interesting how quickly you find you can get stuff done when you find out you have two finished paintings to do in two days and still don't know which of your compositions was selected. And apparently 4-6 hours of sleep is quite a viable amount.
