I saved the steps for this one, so here's a quick breakdown of the process. Didn't do a ton of drawing, was mostly exploring the colors and trying not to get too fussy with the rendering.

It's a good reminder of how an image is built up in digital painting. I'm forever starting then getting fixated on a single part and then lost in the detail and end up fully rendering just one part of the painting.
Cheers! And yeah, it can be hard restraining yourself from details, with portraits I try not to define any of the features until it already looks like the person with just the big forms.
