I've been sittin' here,
Can't get you off my mind. I've tried my best to be a man and be strong. I've drove myself insane, Wishing I could touch your face. But the truth remains... You're gone. --------------------------- Just a little speedpainting I did (You can see a video of it here). I'm not turning emo on y'all or anything, I just liked the song and felt like painting, and this is the result. It's one of my first speedpaintings, so bear with me. I'm still trying to figure out the balance between detail and speed, though I probably should've spent more time on the anatomy of the guy. But I think the color and composition came out pretty nice, so it's not too bad. Done in Photoshop, approximate painting time is 42 minutes and 1 second. CnC welcome.  Comments
 I like the light effect you managed to get and from the "small view" you can really make out what is going on.
The full view looks a little confusing...I cant make out the hand in the hair but its only a speedpaint after all! For your first, its really good. I wouldnt even attempt one since I'd just get frustrated  -- Commissions at stupidly low prices!! I was trying to be real loose, but I still probably should have sketched more of the anatomy before I started painting. But oh well I think it came out alright.

Plus I like the lighting I think the intended effect was completed. I do agree about the no disticnt definition between the hand and the hair. over all well done Andan!

 I think the lighting turned out nice, too. And the hand/hair thing is probably because I was trying to keep away from details and perfect lines, but I probably should have defined that area a bit more, due to its importance. -- Never say, "I can't." Instead ask yourself, "how can I?".  Wow! This is FANTASTIC for a first speed paint. I've never even attempted one...digital painting is reeeeally intimidating to me.
 I was going to mention the indistinction-ish between the head and hands, but I guess I got beaten to it by the other commentors. And, yeah, leaping in to the world of digital painting can be really foreboding, but it just takes one little step at a time. -- Never say, "I can't." Instead ask yourself, "how can I?". I guess that's somewhat reassuring...
