Artist's Comments

I was bored and had nothing to do; so why not paint some sexy amazing warrior princess babes? I actually didn't draw this one, I recently bought this awesome book (Fantasy Artist's Figure Drawing Bible) and it has a huge index of different characters with lineart you can scan and color. So, since I was failing at drawing my own characters, I just plucked one out of his book. xD

Felt good to color again, and I think I actually learned a lot; as he also had a fully colored one next to the lineart; so I learned a lot about technique and form while doing it. Odd how much referencing, even another artist's work, can help.

I still see lots of areas for improvement; but I'm getting there. Hope ya like it!

Beautiful! The colours you've chosen are perfect, and I adore the way you've sort of semi-lined it and how it's darker around some edges to pick out details - it adds a lot of solidity and depth. The background is wonderful and the atmosphere is lovely too, and the lighting works really well : > The textures are fantastic, as always!

The anatomy is mainly good (I am loving those hands), but be careful with the breasts. Boobs aren't balloon shaped - they tend to be flatter at the top and rounder underneath due to epic laws of gravity and stuff. Otherwise, they look fake and inflated, and no-one likes fake boobs D: Also, I think they would look better if they were squeezed together less - contrary to popular belief, boobs do not press together unless you are wearing a cleavage enhancing bra : < Also, even more sadly, Amazon women tended to have er...only one breast 8D But, i won't take the title that literally xD
I think, other than that, the anatomy is fine : >

Also, the pose is a little static - it may have been nice to make her hair and skirt blow around a bit and maybe add some swirling leaves, just to add a bit of energy.

I love her intense stare, though - those eyes are wonderful! You've improved so much over just the past couple of months, all your hard work has really, really paid off!!

Yay! Sexy amazing warrior princess babe! Well, this turned out nice and even though the line work wasn't yours, it still takes work to color and shade an all that. I traced my first female a couple weeks ago just to work on coloring and shading and I'm still working on it. LOL! Great work all around!

Never say, "I can't." Instead ask yourself, "how can I?".

Thanks muchly. Though, as much as I'd like to, I can't take credit for the anatomy. I simply colored some lineart by Matt Dixon. xP

It's quite fun. Perhaps not the most educational book I've ever read, but definitely good for inspiration and boredom-browsing. 8D
